Summer Science Camps 2010
Welcome to YSI's online registration system for 2010 YSI Summer Science Camp! Please note that online registration for a camp closes a week before its start date. Please call us if you'd like to register for any camp that shows a "Call Us" status. These camps may or may not have room in them.
We are pleased to offer you the convenience of online registration. We appreciate your patience with any minor glitches or technical issues which may come up. After registering online, if you do not receive a confirmation receipt within 24 hours call us and we will resend your confirmation receipt.
Should you experience any problems during your registration, please call us at 408-356-4945.
You have the option to register by phone at this number as well. Camps will close one week before the start date of camp. You must call us to see if there is any room left in the camp that you want to register for. We cannot accommodate drop ins on Monday morning.

ALUM ROCK EXTENDED CAMP UPDATE, May 11, 2010: Unfortunately, we have not received enough registrations to hold extended camps at Alum Rock this summer. Therefore, we are canceling all extended camps at Alum Rock.
SANBORN UPDATE, April 16, 2010: YSI must meet minimum enrollment levels to run camps, and ensure that our overhead costs are met. Unfortunately, we have not received enough registrations to hold camps at Sanborn this summer, and will therefore be moving our Sanborn camps as scheduled to Vasona.
Registrations for camps at Alum Rock and Vasona are actually ahead of last year, so we encourage you to register AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to insure your child's spot in the camps of their choice, and to receive the maximum discount for early registration.
YSI Offers Summer Science Camps

at two locations this year: Vasona Park in Los Gatos and Alum Rock Park in San Jose
Note: ALUM ROCK PARK IS CLOSED ON MONDAYS. Camps will meet nearby on Mondays at Penitencia Creek Park, 3050 Berryessa Road, San Jose, CA 95132 and Tues.-Fri. at YSI in Alum Rock Park. Instructions will be e-mailed with camp confirmations.
for children entering Pre-K to 6th grade in Fall 2010
each camp is a week long; 9 am-11:30 am for PreK-K; 9 am-1 pm for grades 1-6 with extended camp day option 1pm-5pm for camps at YSI Vasona Park.

You asked for it, we’re doing it! The Extended Day Summer Science Camp will run from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The Extended Day Summer Science Camp will continue for B, C and D campers (entering Kindergarten through entering 6th grade). It will not be available for A campers this year.
Extended Camp activities will include arts and crafts, story time, indoor and outdoor games and activities, hikes, quiet time and more! We’ll maintain the same excellent program quality and 7:1 camper-to-instructor/aide ratio you’ve come to appreciate about YSI.
Cancellation Policy
For camp cancellations the following rules will apply:
100% of Camp and Extended Camp fees, less a $25 administration fee per camp, are refundable if requested by April 15.
75% of Camp and Extended Camp fees are refundable if requested from April 16 to May 15.
No refund (0%) of Camp and Extended Camp fees are refundable after May 16.
Because YSI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all non-refunded Camp and Extended Camp fees (does not include administrative fees) are considered a donation as allowed by law. A tax donation receipt can be provided.
Enrollment Change Policy
Any change (canceling out of one Camp AND enrolling in another Camp) requests must be made at least 30 days before the camp start date, and are subject to availability. There will be a $25 administration fee in addition to the Camp fee.
Camps and Extended Camps are NOT transferable to another person. Returned checks are subject to a $20 returned check fee.
Minimum Enrollment
If minimum camp enrollment is not met two weeks prior to the first day of camp, that camp may be combined with others or canceled. If camps are combined two weeks prior to the first day of camp, no refund will be given. If a camp is canceled by YSI, a full refund will be issued.
Friends in Camp Policy
If you want a friend or sibling together in the same section of the camp, please indicate the name of the friend or sibling on the space provided on the Registration Form. YSI will try to place them together, but it CANNOT be guaranteed. You may only request one friend or sibling to be placed with your child for each camp.

My daughter did bike hike last year and loved it so much she wants to do it again this year.
